GlobeX Data S.A. (hereinafter called 'GlobeX') takes privacy and data protection issues seriously. We have designed this Privacy Policy to explain how we handle personally identifiable information collected from persons who register for information and/or services and submit information to GlobeX through the Internet. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy covers GlobeX treatment of personally identifiable information collected from users (hereafter "user" or "you") who use the GlobeX owned services, as well as consumer information that we acquire in the course of our business. This Policy also covers the treatment of personally identifiable information that GlobeX's business partners may share with it. This Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that GlobeX does not own or control, or to people that GlobeX does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use

GlobeX collects personally identifiable information when you register for a GlobeX account login, and when you use certain GlobeX owned products and services. GlobeX may also receive personally identifiable information from its resellers and other business partners. When you register with GlobeX, we ask for your contact information (such as your name, street address and email address), as well as certain information pertaining to your business. GlobeX uses the information collected to fulfill your requests for certain products and services offered by GlobeX owned entities. We may also send service announcements, newsletters, and periodic notices about specials, new products and services and products and services offered by GlobeX business entities. GlobeX does not offer services or sell products to children. GlobeX does not request or knowingly collect personally identifiable contact information from anyone under the age of 13.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Protecting personally identifiable information about merchants and consumers is an important part of our business. We share and disclose such information only as described below. GlobeX sends personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GlobeX, our users, or others, which may include the exchange of information with other organizations for fraud protection and/or risk reduction.

All user data is protected by the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (FADP) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Ordinance, as well as the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP), which offers the strongest privacy protection in the world for both individuals and entities.

Information Security

Information security is critical to our business. We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We store information gathered on secure computers located in a locked data center. The number of employees involved in the management of the data center that have physical access to these computers is limited. We use firewalls and other security technology to prevent our computers from being accessed by unauthorized persons. We also require that any personally identifiable consumer information sent to us by you be encrypted using SSL encryption. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer and otherwise protect the password used to access the GlobeX owned services.

Enforcement/Inquiries

We train our employees on the requirements of this policy, and regularly communicate to them about the proper uses, disclosure and handling of personal information. Any GlobeX employee who violates this policy, or fails to report any violation of which they are aware, is subject to appropriate disciplinary action, which can include termination. In addition, we periodically undertake an objective self-assessment of the accuracy of this policy and our conformance with its requirements. Individuals in the EU who have concerns about our use, disclosure or handling of their personal information are encouraged to contact our EU Safe Harbor Compliance Program Monitor by emailing privacy@globexdata.ch. We will work hard to address those concerns, and, if needed we will cooperate with Data Protection Authorities in the EU in the unlikely event we're unable to otherwise resolve a complaint you raise concerning our compliance with this policy.

Notice for Users

GlobeX is located in Switzerland and Its servers are located in Switzerland. GlobeX does NOT have servers in the United States of America, due to the privacy issues with the USA Patriot Act. Any information that you provide to GlobeX shall remain in our Swiss data centres or shall be deleted automatically from our servers. By providing personal information to us, you are consenting to its storage and use as described herein.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

GlobeX reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. If we do, such changes will remain consistent with the requirements of the Safe Harbor Principles, and will reflect our continued commitment to protect your privacy. If there are material changes to this statement or in how GlobeX will use personally identifiable information, GlobeX will post notice on the GlobeX homepage at www.globexdata.ch prior to implementing the change. The amended Terms shall automatically become effective immediately after they are posted. Your continued use of the site or GlobeX owned services after the posting of the amended Terms on the Site constitutes your affirmative: (a) acknowledgement of the terms and its modifications; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by the terms, as amended.
